Blog Knowledge Map
1. Blog Knowledge Map - Featured Navigation: This knowledge map serves as the blog's sole main entry point, containing only articles with systematic, methodological, and practical value. It aims to help new readers quickly grasp the author's core technical threads and thought framework. Several areas within the blog have already formed relatively complete knowledge systems…
Most people ignore the variables in life

Life is actually more like an extremely complex and constantly changing equation, full of variables: the times, environment, family, opportunities, health, cognition, personality, choices, and even luck. And these variables are not simply added together, but rather influence and constrain each other.

Many people like to understand life as a linear "input-output" relationship, as if as long as you put something in, you will definitely get the corresponding result.

For example, some people believe, "As long as you work hard enough, you will definitely succeed." But they often overlook the fact that success never exists in isolation from the environment. The same effort can yield vastly different results in different eras, on different platforms, and with different resources: some people ride the wave of opportunity and rise to prominence, while others waste their lives struggling against headwinds. Effort is certainly important, but it is only one variable, not a universal formula that determines everything.

For example, some people believe that "working hard to make money when you're young will ensure happiness in your old age." However, the problem is that no one can be certain they will smoothly reach that "old age." In fact, many times, it's precisely because of long-term overworking, sacrificing health, and mentally exhausting oneself in youth that the body collapses prematurely. Thus, before one even has a chance to enjoy the future, they have already lost the ability to face it.

Often, reality is not a stable assembly line; it's more like a dynamic system—variables are constantly changing, conditions can be reset at any time, and formulas that held true in the past may not hold true in the future. Many seemingly self-evident life logics are essentially just phased experiences under specific circumstances, rather than universally applicable truths.

Therefore, what people truly need is perhaps not to cling to a fixed formula for life, but to always maintain a sense of awe for "variables." Knowing that life cannot be absolutely controlled, and understanding that many things cannot be achieved simply by "trying" or "planning."

This realization is not pessimistic; on the contrary, it means that a person begins to truly understand the complexity of reality, and therefore understands better how to maintain balance, exercise restraint, and cherish the present moment.

And only then can one truly understand the meaning of the phrase "life is unpredictable".

Building a Lightweight Knowledge Index for Blogs (Part 3): Design and Implementation of a Lightweight Recommendation System for WordPress Based on Pre-computed Semantic Indexes
1. The starting point for intelligent blog recommendations: In the second article of this series (see: Adding a "Semantic Index" to your blog (Part 2): JSON Structure and Script Generation Implementation), we finally generated the crucial semantic-index using a Python script…
Building a Lightweight Knowledge Index for Your Blog (Part 2): Implementation of JSON Structure and Script Generation
1. Introduction In the first article of this series (see article: Building a Lightweight Knowledge Index for Your Blog (Part 1): Structure Design and Construction Process), we have already summarized the entire knowledge indexing system into a clear structural model: from article retrieval and content organization to relationship building and result output…
Building a Lightweight Knowledge Index for Your Blog (Part 1): Structure Design and Construction Process
1. Introduction Recently, I've been thinking about what new features can be added to the blog's structure, such as content structure indicators at the bottom of article pages (see the article: From Content to Structure: A Low-Cost Evolutionary Approach to Blog Development). However, there are still many more advanced capabilities, such as: automatic content recommendations…
From content to structure: A low-cost approach to blog evolution
1. Why I Started to Care About "Structure" As the number of blog posts increased and the content gradually crossed different fields, I began to vaguely realize a problem: these originally independent articles were slowly turning into a pile of information that was "difficult to reuse." At first, this feeling wasn't obvious…
Democratization in South Korea as Seen Through the "Seoul Spring": Two Interruptions and One Breakthrough
1. Starting with "Seoul Spring": I recently watched a 2023 South Korean film, "Seoul Spring." The film is adapted from the true historical event that occurred in South Korea on December 12, 1979—the "December 12 Coup"—and tells the story of the military seizing power and ending South Korea's brief democratization process…
From Pages to Content: What Has WordPress Changed?
1. When a website is no longer just a webpage, it's already 2026 in the blink of an eye. Looking back, my blog has been running stably for over two years since its initial setup. The time isn't particularly long, but it's enough for me to fully experience the journey from "building the website" to "starting to repeatedly think about the website..."
